World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrade Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3% of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can get the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it's possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Glyphs

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to boost the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When a player upgrade item the equipment they have, the base item will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This can be a downside, as the item can increase in price even if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their equipment.
