WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrading by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item upgrader mod level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current Item Level Upgrade level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will show an item upgrades's preview at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Crests

This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable modification is that crests have one usage therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner.
