It's worth noting that the seats do not recline completely, but they can be lowered to the lowest level that will still allow your child plenty of headroom and room to move around.

A fabric sling is also available. It has the advantage that it is positioned within the frame, rather than on top as a modular seat. This means that it has a lower centre of gravity, with a perfect weight distribution. This makes it easier to push, especially on bumpy terrain or over curbs. MFM reviewer Kath liked the way this style of seat dealt with obstacles.

Tyres

These tyres are sometimes difficult to maintain and need to have their air pressure topped up regularly. They are also more prone to punctures than foam tyres so you'll need to make sure that you have repair kits, spare inner tube and pump on hand when you are you're out and about in your buggy.

PU tyres can be found on more pushchairs than the air-filled tyres, yet they're just as robust. PU tyres are easily identified by their matte finish and soft feel. They also slide over flat and tidy surfaces.

It's usually possible to identify the distinction between air-filled and PU tire by running your fingers over each one, if it feels firm, then it's a rubber tyre, and when it slides, it's a PU. You can also test whether your buggy is equipped with PU tyres, by sliding them on flat, clean surfaces. They should roll easily and fit comfortably into wheel hubs.
